History
Established in 1625, Quincy has been called a city of firsts. From mining and shipbuilding, to railroads and airplanes, Quincy has long been an economic force in the Bay State. Originally established by the British, Quincy was originally part of Braintree before becoming it's own town in 1792 and city in 1888. Home to two US Presidents, John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams, Quincy is often called the "City of Presidents" and it's athletic teams are known as the Presidents.
